Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewiston, is a tertiary healthcare facility in the heart of central Maine. It has been providing comprehensive healthcare services to the residents of the central and western Maine region for more than 15 years. The medical staff is comprise of more than 150 physicians and support technicians representing 30 specialties.

The hospital offers a host of sophisticated services, including cardiac surgery and comprehensive cancer care. A range of inpatient and outpatient services including diabetes care, nutritional services, trauma care, women's care, rehabilitation, and therapies are also provided. CMMC supports a number of primary care and specialty care practices for patients of all ages.

If additional medical or surgical resources are required, the LifeFlight of Maine medical helicopter service is ready 24 hours a day to move patients to the most appropriate care provider.

CMMC supports both formal degree programs and courses on a variety of healthcare topics. The Central Maine Institute for Health Professions offers degree programs. The CMMC Family Medicine Residency Program offers a three-year program for medical school graduates who are pursuing residency training in family practice medicine. The Community Health and Wellness Center at the hospital offers a variety of classes that range from aerobics, yoga, and Pilates, to smoking cessation and stress management.
