Community Medical Center Healthcare System (CMC) is a leading provider of healthcare services in Northeastern Pennsylvania. The non-profit corporation located in Scranton offers a complete continuum of educational, diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services. Founded in 1897, CMC offers general primary care from remote offices in Chinchilla and Mount Pocono. The health system includes Community Medical Center, Mountain View Care Center, a 180-bed long-term care facility; Mount Pocono Rehabilitation, Scranton Counseling Center, and Abington Physical Therapy. In addition, it includes the Joint Replacement Center, Maternity Center, Kathryn Grambs Women's Center, Skilled Nursing Unit, and Sleep Disorders Center. With specialization in women and children's services, the health system offers complete cardiac services, including open-heart surgery. Neonatal intensive care, geriatric services, 24-hour emergency care, fast-track emergency service, critical care, complete surgical services, and inpatient dialysis are additional services.
