Concordia University Irvine is a private, Christian university run by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. It offers 19 majors and 23 minors to undergraduates along with undergraduate and graduate professional programs. The enchanting tree-lined campus of CUI is only minutes away from I-405 and five other freeways and is conveniently close to the John Wayne Airport.

CUI had a modest beginning when the college was founded as Christian College Irvine in 1976, with an initial strength of 36 students. In 1993, LCMS merged Christian College Irvine with the Concordia University System and rechristened it Concordia University Irvine. Today, it has about 2,000 students on its rolls representing almost every state in U.S. and many countries across the globe.

Concordia University Irvine is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
